01 / CHALLENGE

Challenge

A society website needs to do more than announce events. Committee members need usable processes for entries, guests, capacity, payments and results.

02 / RESPONSE

Response

Build a custom visual experience alongside a dedicated plugin for the society workflows. The redesigned system has been implemented and tested locally, without replacing the existing public website.

03 / DELIVERY

Delivery

  • Custom WordPress theme
  • Society management plugin
  • Booking and capacity workflows
  • Scoring and committee administration

04 / HIGHLIGHTS

Behind the build

  • Member self-service for fixtures and entries
  • Guest and meal choices, capacity limits and reserves
  • Committee-managed payment status and tee sheets
  • Best-N Order of Merit scoring, with multiple leagues and online payments outside the current scope

05 / THE PROCESS

How it comes together

  1. Understand

Translate real fixture, guest, committee and competition workflows into requirements.

  2. Advise

Separate visual design from society data and decide which functions must work before release.

  3. Build

Develop the custom theme and independent plugin with role-based member and committee journeys.

  4. Manage & improve

Test booking and scoring workflows locally; keep the current public site unchanged until release approval.
